Launch of 1st Groovy Giving Libraries San Antonio, Texas / Bexar County:
A Holiday Book Drive is being held for all Bexar County employees from Monday, 12/13/21 to Friday, 12/17/21. These books will be used to fill the two new Groovy Giving Libraries located inside the courthouse and the Paul Elizondo Tower.
Groovy Giving Library ribbon cutting ceremonies will take place on Friday the 17th, 2021. Schedule of events is as follows:
11:15 a.m. Press Conference - Located at the Scooby Van which will be parked in between the courthouse and the Paul Elizondo Tower (near the front of the courthouse)
11:30 a.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Suite 405 Administrative Office (Paul Elizondo Tower). This Groovy Giving LIbrary will be open to the public during regular courthouse office hours.

11:45 a.m. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony - Children’s Court Playroom, 100 Dolorosa, 3rd Floor. This Groovy Giving Library is NOT open to the public since it is dedicated to children who are in the custody of Child Protective Services. Children and their parents visiting the courthouse are welcome to take free books as a part of the Scooby Van of San Antonio’s goal to ensure every child in Bexar County owns a book and to encourage parents to read to their children to help improve literacy levels.
